Entertainment Weekly har exklusiva nyheter; nämligen att Little Brown kommer att släppa Twilight boken – som seriebok! Stephenie Meyer är själv involverad i projektet och den Koreanska konstnären Young Kim kommer att rita allt. Så här skriver dom:

For those of you who can’t get enough Edward and Bella, EW can announce — exclusively — that Little, Brown will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.

Take a close look at the biology-class sketch we’ve obtained (that’s an empty dialogue bubble between their heads, if you’re wondering). What’s interesting to me is that it doesn’t look simply like an artist’s rendering of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson. In fact, the characters seem to be an amalgam of Meyer’s literary imagination and the actors’ actual looks. The description of Edward from biology class: “His dazzling face was friendly; open, a slight smile on his flawless lips. But his eyes were cautious.” And Bella: “I was ivory-skinned …. I had always been slender, but soft somehow, obviously not an athlete…” To me, this graphic-novel Bella seems much closer to me to Meyer’s book than to Stewart’s sultry portrayal. The Edward shown is closer to Pattinson, but not a real duplicate; there’s something very winning in the sketch that I don’t see in Pattinson’s all-too-perfect tousled bronze locks and piercing eyes.

Helt off-topic, men finns det några Harry Potter-fantaster här som möjligtvis kommer att gå på bio i kväll för att se den 6:e filmen? Själv ska jag se den i morgon. Jag har faktiskt inte läst böckerna. Men måste nog göra det någon gång!

Först var det tänkt att Harry Potter och halvblodsprinsen skulle komma ut på bio den 21 november förra året- men Twilight fick ju det datumet istället! Så det är klart att man som en äkta Twilighter blev lycklig, men det var synd om motparten. Men i dag, den 15 juli, är det som sagt premiär för filmen och många HP-fans är nog överlyckliga just nu! :D

Alla vet väl hur mycket Muses låtar har inspirerat Stephenie Meyer i skrivningen av Twilight-serien? Det här är lite off-topic, men i september kommer det brittiska bandet att stiga upp på scenen under Video Music Awards den 13 september (Bellas födelsedag) för att framföra den nya låten ”Uprising”. De har ett nytt album på gång som heter ”The Resistance”.

Stephenie Meyer säger bland annat:

”I was in Forks [Washington, the city where 'Twilight' is based] with my sister — before any of the books had come out, just sort of scoping it out,” Meyer said. ”I was working on ‘Eclipse’ at the time, and I had [Muse's album] Absolution in, and ‘Hysteria’ came on and, in my mind, the kiss scene between [Bella] and Jacob just choreographed itself, down to how many steps he took toward her. So whenever I read that now, I always hear the song in my mind.”

I oktober spelar ju Muse här i Sverige. Ska ni dit? Hade mer än gärna farit ner till Sthlm men det är lite svårt när man bor här uppe. Också kommer jag inte ens att befinna mig på svensk mark då, för då är jag och mina kompisar i Madrid, Spanien. Vi bokade biljetter igår. Vi ska göra miljöundersökningar där till projektarbetet som alla treor gör.

Förresten, är det många av er som lyssnar på deras musik? Jag tycker att de har en hel del bra låtar och längtar till det nya albumet!

Reuters.com har en jättebra intervju med Twilight-regissören Catherine Hardwicke. Hon pratar om livet efter Twilight-filmen, skådespelarna och m.m. Ett utdrag:

Q: Your previous films centered on vampires, skateboarders, biblical figures and students. The common denominator is the main characters are all teenagers. Why is that?

A: ”It’s definitely a time in everybody’s life that’s extremely memorable, painful and exiting. It’s one of our most dramatic times where we suddenly grow breasts or hair on our chest. We are able to kiss a boy or a girl and drive a car, drink and figure out who we are as a person and where we fit in the world. Great dramatic material happens in a coming of age story and there are so many possibilities. Plus teenagers are also the people who will actually get up off their couches and go to a movie theater.”

Spanska tidningen Los 40 Principales har en ny intervju med Robert Pattinson där han pratar om olika saker. Utdrag (översatt till engelska):

Move over Zac efron… Have you met the High School Musical star?
We met at an awards show. He’s the new face of success. But he’s all the opposite of what I thought he would be. He’s so honest and down to earth. You’d think he’s so prepared for the press, but he’s not.

What do fans say about you when they meet you in person?
They are increadibly opinionated. They have very clear ideas as to how I should live my life. Who knew 15 years old could be so moralistic?

Is it true that you did castings for vampire characters before?
Yes, I did an audition for True Blood, but that didn’t work out. I didn’t think I would get the role of Edward Cullen either, because the character is very enigmatic. I didn’t want to play the biggest vampire stereotype, so I tried to humanize him.

When you got the role a lot of fans were very angry….
They didn’t want me. They sent me hate messages and the Internet was full of comments. They said I looked like a bum.
